Well, I finished another piece today - Dreaming of Atlantis.  Feeling accomplished.  I am really in the mood to get my art room all tricked out.  I've also been feeling the urge to be crafty - painting is one thing - crafts are another.  I've been meaning to do some really elegant greeting cards, hand embellished.  That's always a fun way to get the craftiness urge out.

It's been beautiful the last few days - in the 70s feeling like spring. Now it's raining again.  Kids are back in school and I have a couple hours to myself during the day again....I wish there was more time.  Sometimes people get so rushed that we forget to just sit and enjoy eachother for what we are.  It seems like my brain is always thinking of what's next.  Sometimes at night when I'm drifting off to sleep, I think maybe tomorrow I'll try to slow down and remember that my kids won't be living here forever.  This is the time to devour them in love and cherish their every joy and agony.  Watching them grow is the most magical thing of all.  Even when times get rough, which happens, it's all a part of life.  Endure and overcome.

Speaking of the kiddies, it's off to read with one of them.... soon he'll be reading on his own - these are the times to remember.

Well, woke up extra early (as usual....lol) and so I've been trying to work on my site a bit.  Takes lots of time to update.  My original 'Valentine' is up on eBay now.   I've added a page recently to show my recent works - it's an unorganized mess, so sorry.  Most of these will eventually be available as prints, so if there's one you have in mind, let me know.  I have yet to add all of them.  I'm also trying to resist the urge to completely redo my website....forever fickle.

My work will now be featured on some beautiful wooden boxes, journals, and more at Enchanted Woodz.  Coming soon!

Finally got my blog up again - actually don't have any idea what happened to it in the first place - suddenly vanished.

Finished a new piece today - did not much else - a Valentine fae.  I suddenly got inspired by the colors in the piece after it was nearly finished to do a Valentine fairy.  Turned out nicely.  I broke down and bought a ton of hot press paper a couple weeks ago (on sale!) and it has been a good change from my usual cold press.  You can really get a lot more fine detail.

Beautiful weather here, though cold at night.  Need to get some exercise and outdoor air tomorrow.  Helps the creative juices flow.  I moved my art room (partially) upstairs and the window by my table looks out at nothing but trees, sky, and the bluff we call Castle Rock which divides the canyon.  So lucky to have the view.   There are always vultures circling, sometimes against the grey sky it is ominous.

Well, I'm going to publish this and see if it works - lol.

Well, I don't know what happened to my blog - somehow the entries and comments are gone!  Funny how things happen, when we don't even know it.

It is a gorgeous spring day here, soft breeze, around 80 degrees - perfect!  Soon it will be getting hot and so I am trying to enjoy it for now.  My computer crashed the other night - an electrical surge came through the phone line during a huge thunder storm and next thing you know, it's making a funny rhythmic noise and I couldn't open anything.  I had to reload windows and save everything - except I forgot to save my emails!!!  So I had to write this in hopes that any of you were expecting emails back - I have no address book anymore!  I wanted to mention to the lady who had a beautiful tattoo made (of Autumn Whisper), thank you for sharing the photos!  I didn't want you to think I was being rude by not responding!  It really did turn out nicely, and I am honored.

I am working on a new mermaid piece, mother and daughter among the deep blue green.  It's a big one (I've been doing too many aceos, but they are so fun!) 12 x 16 inches! It's turning out very nicely, hopefully that one wrong turn that sometimes happens won't happen this time.  If all goes well I'll have it on my site tonight!

Bye for now,

Molly
