If there's one thing I love, it's knowing my art has found a place in someone's heart. Maybe it's found a home on a little girl's wall in her room. Maybe it is all throughout your home, creating a world of magic where you dwell. Maybe it's for a friend, or a family member. Maybe there's a piece you like but the color scheme is not what you want.
After many requests and a long break from commissioned work, I have decided it's time to include it in my offerings. Before engaging in a committment, please be aware of my style, color use, themes, and other details. Example: please don't send me a picture of your daugher and expect a portrait. I do not do portraits in any way shape or form (but there are lots of artists who do :)). I am not saying this because I want to offend anyone and it might sound rude, but it's not my thing. I can, however, do a piece that resembles someone, given the details.
What the customer can decide on:
Color scheme
Outfit
Hair color, eye color, color of flowers, butterflies, ect.
Setting and season....etc.
Things to keep in mind: Be aware of my style. I work in watercolor and ink. I do mainly fantasy pieces: fairies, witches, mermaids, etc. I don't like to work smaller than 11 x 15 inches unless it is solely a figure with no background. By commissioning me to do a painting, you are not purchasing the copyrights to it. I will retain all copyrights. If the work is something to be used on a website or for business cards, or company stationary, the price and contract will be written accordingly.
Prices:
Paper Size - 9 x 12 inches: figure only, no background $200.00.
Paper Size - 9 x 12 inches: figure with background $275.00
Paper Size - 11 x 15 inches: figure with background $300.00
Paper Size - 12 x 16 inches: figure with background $350.00
Paper Size - 16 x 22 inches: figure with background $500.00
Prices include shipping and handling costs :)
I ask that I retain the rights to make prints, cards, and use piece for licensing opportunities as well if they should be needed. Below are some examples of commissioned work I have done. Timeframe is important. I have a family that does take priority. Things can come up that make it impossible to me to create, so I try to give myself enough time in case something does come up unexpectedly (illnesses, vacations,, etc.) In most cases, I complete the artwork within a couple weeks. If I am booked until a certain time, I will let you know. I don't expect payment until the piece is complete. If there is no payment within a reasonable amount of time, the piece is mine to sell on eBay or on my website. Please contact me to arrage your commission piece!
