Frequently Asked Questions
What payment methods do you accept?
This website uses SSL encription which ensures a safe way to pay using your credit card. You can also choose to use your Paypal account if you prefer.
How are your prints made?
My prints are created in my home office using Epson Radiant White Watercolor Paper and highest quality, lightfast and waterproof ink. I create the prints myself and inspect each of them to ensure they look great! The images are high resolution digital replicas of the original artwork.
How are the prints/paintings shipped?
Your prints or paintings will ship USPS First Class Mail or Priority Mail depending on the weight of the item(s). I package items securely within a plastic sleeve and backed by cardboard then inserted into a rigid photo mailer or a Priority Mail box.
How long will it take to receive my order?
When you place an order, it might take up to 5 days before it is shipped. Usually I ship every two or so days, so it's rare that it will ever take this long. I will contact you to let you know if your order is delayed for any reason (such as if ink or paper or shipping supplies are delayed). Once in the mail system, I can't control how long it takes. First Class Mail usually takes 3-7 days and Priority Mail usually takes 2-3 days. International transit times vary.
How do you make your paintings?
I enjoy painting in watercolor mainly. Most of my illustrations are watercolor and ink but I also love to add other mediums such as liquid acrylics, glitter paint, shimmery iridescent powders, colored pencil and more.
What type of paper do you paint on?
Good paper makes all the difference when it comes to painting. I use Arches 300 lb (heavy so I don't have to stretch it) hot press (smooth) paper as well as Kilimanjaro (Cheap Joes brand) 300lb cold press. I love both these papers. I don't do preliminary sketches usually (on separate paper). I usually draw right on the paper and erase too. Arches seems to be a bit less sturdy when it comes to erasing and can pill and tear. Kilimanjaro is a super sturdy paper but it is a bit textured so not quite as good for fine details.
What type of paints and other mediums do you use?
I love the house brand from Cheap Joes Art Stuff called "American Journey". They are fine watercolors but at a fraction of the cost of some other well known brands. I also love Daniel Smith watercolors. I like Liquitex and Golden acrylics and Dr. Ph. Martin liquid acrylic inks. Micron Pigma permanent ink for outlines/various sizes. I also like to use alcohol markers such as Copic and Prismacolor markers. For highlighting sometimes I use gel pens and Prismacolor pencil.
Do you offer commissioned work?
At this time I do not offer commissioned/custom work.
Do you license your work for stuff like logos or products?
Currently my work is licensed to several businesses for logos and products. Please contact me if you have questions about licensing. I do not offer exclusive licensing for any of my products.
Can I use your art for a tattoo?
I do allow you to use my work for a personal tattoo. It is appreciated if you would purchase a print of the image you would like and that way you have the high resolution image for the tattoo artist as well. If you are a tattoo artist or parlor/business owner, please contact me regarding licensing for use of my images.
